I'm so excited! I am pleased to announce that, contrary to my last post, poker is alive & well. My very favorite Sunday game has somehow morphed into a Saturday gig, but I sure ain't complainin'! Will wonders never cease? I'll see all you regulars there this evening, & see the rest of you soon! Up the Ante, jj.

Is Poker Gone for Good?

All I hear is "poker is the fastest growing game on the planet" & "everyone and their dog plays poker nowadays"...sadly, it seems, it's just not true. In the course of a year, I have seen my Friday game dissappear, & 2 Sunday games disbanded (& lost another in a divorce on top of it all!) The well is dry. The games are gone. What's a girl to do? There are a few of us looking for a decent stakes game...no 20s, no 10,000s...just a nice happy medium. The All in By Eight Ladies poker team is on hiatus, as a couple of the gals are expecting, & if we can't smoke, we just don't play....drop us a line if you're in for some cards!....cheers, jj.
